Thick enough to eat with a spoon, this berry bowl blends deep pink and holds a scatter of granola, fresh berries and chia right on top. A proper breakfast bowl, not just a fruity snack.

Method

  1. Blend the base.

Add the frozen berries, frozen banana, Greek yoghurt, protein powder and half the milk to a blender.

Blend on high, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Add the remaining milk a splash at a time only if the blades stall, the aim is the thickest mix that will still move.

Blend until smooth, thick and scoopable, similar to soft-serve rather than a drinkable shake.

  2. Assemble and serve.

Pour into a bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.

Arrange the granola, fresh berries and chia seeds on top and eat straight away with a spoon before it softens.
