For 1 serving · MetricUS

  • 1bananasliced and frozen
  • 170g2% Greek yoghurt
  • 200mlsemi-skimmed milk
  • 1 tbsppeanut buttersmooth, no added sugar
  • 1 scoopvanilla protein powderabout 30g, optional
  • 1bananasliced and frozen
  • ¾ cup2% Greek yogurt
  • 0.85 cupreduced-fat milk
  • 1 tbsppeanut buttersmooth, no added sugar
  • 1 scoopvanilla protein powderabout 1 oz, optional

Method

  1. Freeze the banana.

Peel and slice the banana, then freeze it in a bag for at least 2 hours or overnight. This is what makes the shake thick.

  2. Blend the shake.

Add the frozen banana, Greek yoghurt, milk and peanut butter to a blender, adding the protein powder if you are using it.

Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds until thick and smooth, stopping to stir if the banana catches.

If it is too thick to drink, add a splash more milk and blend again.

  3. Serving.

Pour into a tall glass and drink straight away while it is cold and thick.
